Emma Cleminson is an odd and excitable individual – who is always thinking about the immortality of the crab. Crafting, being outside, and teaching people, are things they are passionate about. Emma is always making things and hoping to learn stories that ring like truths or lessons. They are a Masters student at the University of Johannesburg doing use- wear analysis to find bone tools. Emma is interested in this method because it focuses on the creation parts of subsistence behaviour. Use-wear analysis helps explore leather working, basketry, and other crafts. Craft and making things is a social and community-based activity which circles back to teaching and learning and our connections with each other like in the SAAS Society
